Our Club. Our Future. Our Home.

These are mighty exciting times for everyone connected to St. Bernard’s United FC.

Not just because of the football (though we’re fairly handy at that too),
because we’re ready to take the next big step in our club’s story. This began in 1972 and we’re not stopping now...

A Club on the Up

If you blinked over the last few years, you might’ve missed the growth spurt.
We’ve gone from 360 members in the 2022/23 season to well over 600 this season
and that’s not counting the parents on the sideline who roar louder than any whistle.

This isn’t just a club anymore. It’s a massive part of our community, a gathering place and a second home for all of our members.

Securing Our Future

For years, the main committee has been working away quietly, phone calls, meetings, more meetings, and the odd prayer to secure one thing:

A permanent home for St Bernard’s Utd FC.

A place our children can run, train, dream, and score goals long after the rest of us have retired our boots and tired hamstrings.

And now, at long last, we’ve identified a piece of land right here in the village. If we secure it, we unlock access to grants that allow us to build proper facilities for our players and for the whole community.

By acting now, we can secure the medium and long-term future of the club
not just for today’s players, but for the next generation as well.

The Task Ahead: Raising €75,000

No point sugar-coating it: We need to raise a sizeable chunk of change to make this happen.

But here’s the thing we can do it, and we will do it, together.

We’ve built a plan that spreads the load and protects members from unnecessary costs.

How We’ll Get There

Day-to-Day Finances Sorted

Thanks to some very sensible heads around the table, our registration fees now cover the day-to-day running of the club. That means every euro raised outside registrations goes straight towards the dream of a permanent home.

The 50/50 Draw

We’ve launched a weekly 50/50 draw steady, simple, and surprisingly fun.
A small flutter with a big impact.

Other Fundraising Events (The Ones You Actually Want to Attend)

We’re keeping the classics:

  • Table Quizzes

And adding new crowd-pleasers:

  • Family Bingo (don’t pretend you don’t love bingo)
  • Sponsored Walk/Run for the young ones
  • More community events as the year unfolds

These aren’t just fundraisers they’re a chance to bring everyone together have some craic and see our plans being realised

How You Can Help (Hint: There’s a Way for Everyone)

You don’t need deep pockets just a bit of heart a desire to be counted and see a club progress.

Here’s how you can pitch in:

  • Coaches: rally your troops
  • Parents: support events, share links, buy the ticket
  • Players: show up, help out, represent your club
  • Local Businesses: sponsor, partner, or throw your name behind the cause

Even forwarding the 50/50 link to your cousin in Australia counts.
Every little helps…

Together, We Win

This is about pride in St Bernards Utd FC and building something that lasts.

Every ticket bought, every quiz entered, every bingo dabbed, brings us closer to giving our children and grandchildren a permanent place to play the beautiful game.

It’s a big challenge but if there’s one thing this club knows, it’s how to pull together and get things done.
